Mardi Gras Stylist

In the second part of our Mardi Gras makeup journey, we got to act as a stylist for a friend in the class. I got to do Nicole Castelli's makeup!

After looking at Nicole's design, I drew the design on her face lightly with one of the pencil's in her kit.

Then I painted the base of her face white with the water color paint. It's a little streaky, but I think that was because the brush I used wasn't great. Here's two pictures of Nicole after the white was done and I started the yellow.

After this step I finished painting the yellow on her face. The yellow went on very well and was easier to paint than I expected.

I think she kind of looks like David Bowie!!

The next step was to mix the red and white water colors in order to make a bright pink color. This went very well and made a pretty pink. After mixing the colors, I finished up Nicole's designs.

Finally, I outlined her design in black, and she her makeup look was complete!

After all was said and done, Nicole and I took a picture with our cool makeup looks!!
